“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” ― The Bhagavad Gita.
Yoga is not about self-improvement; it is about self-acceptance. Yoga is a word that has become popular across the world in the last few years. Our school celebrated the 8th International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm. The theme for the year was ‘Yoga for Humanity. Students from all levels participated in the program and embodied the true spirit of Yoga. Various activities were conducted to mark the occasion.
The session ended on notes from the Chairman, the Academic Advisor and the principal. Each of them emphasised the importance of Yoga and also encouraged the students to practice Yoga into their daily life. Yoga embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfilment, harmony between man and nature, and a holistic approach to health and well-being.
The day left everyone truly inspired to adopt Yoga as a daily practice. “Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter the flame.” — B.K.S. Iyengar
