As a part of Schneider Electric Conserve My Planet program “Green assembly” was held at Vagdevi Vilas School, Marathahalli on 5th September 2024. The Chief Guest of the day was Ms. Ranjani Rajanikanth , Vice President Engineering at Power Products International Hub at Schneider Electric, India. She was accompanied by Mini Kumari, Sr.Engineer, Sri Jogi Bhargava , Deputy Manager CSR Schneider Electric, India and Sri Hayat , CMP coordinator, from SHARP NGO. The dias was shared by Smt. Padma Sagar Principal, Smt. Sindhu R, Director R&D Dept. Shri . Govindan. N Deputy Director R&D dept., and Shri. Srinidhi.CM Director Innovation dept.
The Green assembly aimed to educate and inspire students to take proactive steps in preserving our planet while ensuring safety for all.The assembly commenced with an invocation song by the students followed by a captivating speech by our principal, who emphasized upon the urgent need to address environmental issues. She highlighted the role that the schools and students play in shaping a sustainable future. The chief guest addressed the gathering with her inspiring words and distributed the Green kits to the selected Green Ambassadors on the stage. The power pledge by Schneider was administered by Sivamakin Selvakumar N of Grade VIII D, which was taken with full energy and enthusiasm by all the Green Ambassadors along with the dignitaries.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Sri. Govindan N, R & D deputy Director.
In conclusion, the school assembly on the topic of a greener and safer environment was a resounding success. It not only educated students about the vital environmental issues but also inspired them to become active participants in creating a better future.
