Food fest is a vibrant celebration of culinary diversity, bringing people
together to sample a wide array of dishes from different cultures, regions,
and cuisines, creating a sensory experience that not only delights the taste
buds but also offers a window into diverse traditions and communities
through the art of food.
At Vagdevi Vilas School, Marathahalli, Food Fest is an annual event held for
the cause of charity, is celebrated with full grandeur and flavours. This year, the event was held on December 9th on the theme ‘Vegetarian cuisines of different states of India’. Students of grade 9 to 12 showcased a vast range of dishes, from local specialties of their regions. Each stall represented a regional cuisine and displayed the signature dishes of that region. There
were live counters where students enthusiastically prepared the regional
food.
The atmosphere was filled with the excitement of students as they
experienced the enticing aromas of cooking spices, the sounds of sizzling
food, and the visual spectacle of colorful presentations, creating a
multi-sensory experience.
This food fest not only brought in excitement among the students but helped
them in learning about their local cuisine, their recipes and the story behind
how these dishes originated. It also helped in enhancing their skills in
planning, budgeting and executing which are the key ingredient of
entrepreneurship.
These events foster a sense of togetherness, bringing people from diverse
backgrounds to share a meal and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
