On 1st February 2025, Vagdevi Vilas School, Marathahalli, hosted an affectionate and grand farewell for its graduating students of Grade 10 and Grade 12 through a heartfelt ceremony. The morning was a beautiful blend of nostalgia, joy, and gratitude, honouring the students’ remarkable journeys, cherished bonds, and commendable achievements.

Chief guest Shri. K. Harish Chairman, Vagdevi Vilas Institutions graced the occasion.

The event commenced with a soulful invocation song, followed by a mesmerizing dance performance by the students, which set a reflective yet joyous tone for the occasion. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by esteemed dignitaries, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge over ignorance.

Our distinguished Chairman, Shri K. Harish Sir, delivered an inspiring address, reflecting on the transformational journeys of the students. He encouraged them to embrace challenges fearlessly, pursue their dreams with relentless determination. He motivated them to become responsible citizens and work towards empowering India.

Smt. Y. Padma Sagar Ma’am, Principal of Vagdevi Vilas School, Marathahalli, in her empowering speech, emphasized the importance of diligence, focus, and perseverance. She encouraged the students to remain dedicated to their aspirations, while always upholding the values they have imbibed.

One of the most touching moments of the ceremony was the ‘Jyoti Pradaan,’ where each student was given a lit diya, symbolizing the light of knowledge, wisdom, and the bright future that awaits them. The sight of the glowing diyas in the hands of the students served as a poignant reminder of their journey and the guidance they have received from their teachers for over a decade.

The students then took an oath, pledging to uphold the values instilled in them, stepping confidently into the world with integrity and responsibility.

A few of the graduating students expressed their sincere gratitude for the unwavering support and guidance from the faculty, vowing to carry forward the wisdom and values imparted to them by the instituition. The students were emotional, as the speeches reminisced about their journey from the first day of school to the farewell day.

As the farewell ceremony came to a close, the afternoon unfolded as a mosaic of emotions—tearful goodbyes, warm embraces, and heartfelt promises to stay connected. More than just a farewell, it was a radiant celebration of enduring friendships, remarkable achievements, and the promising journeys ahead.

Students of Grade X and XII left with a sense of pride, fond memories, and hopes for the future.
