The World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5th. It’s a day to reflect on our impact on the environment and to take positive steps towards sustainability.
The World Environment Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm by the staff and students of Vagdevi Vilas School, Marathahalli on 7th June 2024. The plethora of nature-themed programs was compact and beautiful, comprising of songs, dance, skit, speeches in English, Hindi and Kannada to create awareness among students about the significance of this day. Emphasis was laid on our role to save Mother Earth.
The group dance and street play left the audience spell-bound.
The chief guest of the day Shri. K- Harish, Chairman-VVI, in his inspiring address, encouraged the students to be vigilant citizens and own up their responsibilities as custodians of the planet.
Principal, Smt. Y. Padma Sagar in her address emphasized on the vital role of education in shaping eco-conscious citizens.
The “Environment Day Rally” was conducted and entire campus echoed with the slogans to conserve Mother Earth. The event concluded with a stirring rendition of “Vande Mataram,” reaffirming our commitment to protecting and cherishing the earth’s precious resources.
