INSEF REGIONAL FAIR-2023

The INSEF Regional Fair 2023 was conducted by Science Society of India in association with Vagdevi Vilas Institutions on 18th November 2023. Sixty two  shortlisted projects were presented in the fair by students of various schools across the state. Projects pertaining to different branches of Science and Engineering such as Biology, Environmental Science, Energy, Technology, Physics, Computer Science and Engineering were displayed in the fair.

Among the projects displayed, Inkspire: Harnessing Nature for Sustainable Printing, Natural Edible Lip Delight, School bus Checking System Using Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision, Natural Herbal Hair Colour, Smart Wheel Shield: a smart Rain Defense System for Wheelchair were really remarkable. The air was filled with the essence of Science and Technology and the spirit of innovation was evident in the enthusiasm of the participants.

The regional fair commenced at 8:30 a.m. with the display of all the projects by the participants. It was also open for public viewing in the afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The valedictory function was held at 5:00 p.m. which was presided over by Shri. A Rajendra Kumar, Scientist and Engineer, G Head, Test Systems and Signal Processing Division Control and Digital Electronics Group, U R Rao Satellite Centre, Bengaluru along with other dignitaries. Gold, Silver, Bronze medals and Honourable mention awards were awarded to the deserving projects.

The exhibits were judged by a group of esteemed scientists , IT professionals and distinguished people with expertise in their field . Out of the 16 teams from VVSM, 3 teams bagged the Gold medals, 2 teams bagged Silver medals ,2 teams bagged Bronze medals and 9 teams bagged Honourable Mention awards for their projects. The judges and the guides were also felicitated for their efforts in judging and guiding the students respectively. The programme was indeed another successful event organised by Vagdevi Vilas Institutions.
